Lizard Message

Each passing week,

I observe deeply,

I contemplate intently,

and I challenge myself to listen;

To catch all synchronicities the universe messages me.

Whether these little hints are meant just for me,

or as a collective,

I will go with my first choice;

Knowing that however broad I speak of it,

it is still my perception, so it can only relate to how the message is perceived on my end.

I cannot generalize my experience or thought process, with someone else's.

AI for example can think intelligently, but I can think/speak authentically.

So the only way to live in Joy with such extremities, is to work together. Use it as a resource, not as a way of copy and paste.

You can tell AI how to respond to you,

but it will never have meaningful, energetic emotion.

And now to the lizard...

On one of my many contemplative walks, a lizard crossed my path.  These walks are an opportunity for me to notice what the message is - according to my thoughts as I walk.

I don’t recall where I’ve heard of this concept, but I’ve turned it into a personal mantra for my everyday-living experience:

Observe your surroundings and observe your thoughts - the link is the universe’s synchronicity.

Like with dreams, there are some thoughts that will be too silly and unrealistic to manifest…

But for me, it’s about going with my gut instinct. If my thought aligns with an observation, I call it my reassurance from the universe, my gut instinct, my psychologist, my psychic predictor.

These synchronicities wear many hats because if I were to completely approve of it, then I would have nothing of which to negotiate and dig deeper. Instead, I catch myself digging deeper into a subject, until it feels healing enough to move forward from the thought or I pin it and give it some more time to linger. I trust the universe will help me figure it out along the way.

There are questions, there are answers, there are absolutes, and there are nothing but false truths.

In the end, it remains my conscious awareness of everything I perceive it to be.

My thought when I saw the lizard on my walk was instantly, “this creature will be the theme of the week - there's significance here and I will see it again”.

I continued my walk, lingering on this idea of what I already know about lizards. I’ve said at times I feel like I can be a chameleon, a reptile that changes its colors and camouflages itself, depending on its surroundings.

You suck yourself into a crowd of traffic, for example, in New York, and you intelligently, as a survival instinct, know to walk with purpose, attention, and in complete confidence, to not disrupt the flow of this energetic mandala. Pending on impact, one pause can disrupt one vibration. It can affect the people walking behind you and if this pause impacts someone else, their flow will also be interrupted. This is something that goes beyond both of you and that person’s surroundings, but it can also go beyond the sidewalk, car traffic, etc.

It is a huge responsibility to be a chameleon, a discipline of some sorts, to blend in with the rest, for as long as you need to, until you retreat.

I read this in class the other day, and received feedback from 3 different people, acknowledging the truths from this excerpt:

As I continued my walk’s journey, I noticed the breeze feeling different, a little cooler than the past few days, even particular leaves had fallen from the trees. These leaves captured my attention, their colors not exactly burnt and dried like those of autumn, rather they had a blend of cooler hues. The colors reminded me of a cloud I had seen the day before.

Those colors connected me back to lizard skin, especially that of a chameleon:

To finish this story, on my way home, just as I was walking into the passageway of my plot, I saw this lizard on top of the Buddha’s head.

All written above are little snippets of my day-to-day thought processes. Some may be more analytical, more punctual, less dreamy, less observant; I give a tiny insight with hopes you can create a story for yourself with all you notice throughout the day, week and months. You may come to find, like me, that there is a theme that provokes contemplation. This is what meditation can be like for you - observing one specific thing - and taking the journey of walking through all the thoughts and organizing them into a link of a message you are meant to hear (that you created for yourself to understand). Now, we all do this...we tell ourselves stories based upon our observations, and some we may not like and deny to admit, but others we will appreciate its lesson.

Granted, this is just one story of one synchronicity - the lizard.

There are other messages from this week - a sunflower, the number 333.

However, I will keep most of my thoughts and personal interpretations from these synchronicities to myself. The message of awareness is of service enough and now it's your turn to enjoy the realm of self-exploration.

Now, for reference and clarification, I will use chatGPT as my resource:

What is the spiritual significance of a lizard on top of the head of a Buddha statue?”

This question will possibly read to me everything I need to know about lizards, their approach in the spiritual realm, and if I can at all tie it to my current life.

The answers above resonate with me, and I like the questions that it gave me to ponder. Perhaps it also resonates with you, and you haven’t accounted for the lizard for this!

It goes back to personal perception and current real-life experience and presence.

Have a wonderful August. Thank you for reading. (:
